Terms of Service
1. Tier Selection & Project Scope
All projects are categorized into one of three flat-fee tiers (Studio, Specialized, or Signature) based on the initial design brief. We reserve the right to re-categorize a project if the final gemstone count, assembly complexity, or design requirements exceed the selected tier's limits.
2. The Printability Guarantee
We guarantee that every STL deliverable is Production-Ready and Manifold. All files are checked for mesh integrity and wall-thickness viability to ensure they are 3D printable and castable. If a technical mesh error is identified by your casting house, we will provide a corrected file at no additional charge within one business day.
3. Accuracy & Gemstone Responsibility
Clients are responsible for providing final gemstone measurements. While we design to your provided specifications, a physical fitting of stones to the cast piece is always recommended before final setting. We are not liable for stones that do not fit due to inaccurate measurements provided during the intake process.
4. The Bridge Clause (Transition to Hourly)
Work initially quoted under a flat-fee tier will transition to the Scope-Based Hourly Rate ($100/hr) if the project evolves to include:
Mechanical Engineering: Hinges, locks, or moving parts.
Design Pivots: Changing the center stone shape or primary motif after work has started.
Extended Revisions: Requests exceeding the allotted tier limit.
Written notice will be provided before hourly billing commences.
5. File Updates & Maintenance
File Update Fee ($25–$50): Minor modifications to completed designs (e.g., ring resizing) are billed based on original geometry complexity.
Design Re-Entry: Changes to the center stone shape, stone count, or primary aesthetic features will be treated as a new design project.
Storage: We maintain a backup of your production files for 12 months as a courtesy service.
6. Deliverables & Intellectual Property
The Client is granted a license to use the Production STL file for manufacturing purposes. This license is contingent upon full payment of the associated invoice. Original editable project files remain the sole intellectual property of the Designer; file buyouts or transfers of native project data require a separate written agreement and fee.
7. Trade Accounts & Billing
Standard Terms: We offer professional billing terms for established retail partners. Standard accounts operate on a Net 14 basis from the date of invoice.
Invoicing Cycle: Clients will be invoiced according to our current wholesale billing schedule.
Account Standing: To maintain our guaranteed turnaround times for all partners, new design requests may be placed on hold if an account carries an overdue balance.
New Clients: First-time retail partners may be required to prepay their initial project(s) before Net 14 terms are established.
